How Communal Started

Communal was born in the city of Calgary, Alberta. It started with our own problem of trying to book out a local community hall. We realized after this the lack of affordable digital tools that community associations here in Calgary had available to them.

We set out to create a platform that was easy to use, affordable, and most importantly, a platform that would help associations create greater community impact.

Along the way we realized that a lot of other non-profit organizations struggled from the same problems that our local community associations were facing. We decided to expand our platform to help other non-profit organizations such as charities, sporting clubs, cultural associations, and more.
